Duties
Provides clerical and administrative/operational support services and related information/guidance, typically in support of a specific function or a program area in a field unit. Duties may include:
-Organize and provide transactional administrative/operational support services; maintain
accounts; apply established administrative methods and procedures.
-Provide financial support services, including tracking expenditures and monitoring budgets; provide information on variances/commitments; provide the full range of accounts receivable services; verify and code financial transactions; input financial data; reconcile point of sale data to bank deposits; maintain change floats.
-Coordinate travel, meeting and conference arrangements; compose correspondence; and prepare, edit and/or format documentation such as correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, tables, invoices, tenders, and contracts.
-Maintain and modify manual and automated databases and information management systems, including confidential records.

Education:
Successful completion of post-secondary school in a discipline relevant to the duties of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience. Preference may be given to candidates who hold a diploma/degree related to finance/accounting or have completed courses in bookkeeping or accounting.
Essential Experience
• Recent* experience in the provision of financial support services (such as handling invoices, processing payments and bank deposits, using financial management software such as SAP/Oracle).
• Experience in the provision of administrative support services in an office environment (such as creating and maintaining electronic & paper files, scheduling, preparing and revising routine reports, correspondence and responding to requests for information;
• Experience in the use of financial accounting systems (such as STAR)

• Knowledge of office practices and procedures, such as filing, formatting correspondence, responding to requests for information, general accounting procedures, mailing procedures.
• Knowledge of electronic information and database management, such as preparing and compiling records/data into reports or spreadsheets using software programs and maintaining data in financial accounting systems, databases and/or information management systems.
