Duties
Provides accounting, budget monitoring/reporting services, information, and advice as well as general administrative services for the Highway Operations Unit.
Work environment
The Highways Operations Unit is a dynamic and exciting work unit within the Parks Canada Agency. Our operations span across two provinces and through six iconic Parks Canada locations.
This position is located in Revelstoke, BC as it provides support to the Highway Operations Unit. The selected candidate will be required to report in person to the Revelstoke office for a minimum of 3 days a week.
Intent of the process
The immediate need is to staff a temporary vacancy in Revelstoke, BC.
This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic profiles in same or other parts of the country.
*Note: if not already residing in the area, the selected candidate will be required to relocate.

EDUCATION
A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Possession and maintenance of a valid driver’s license.
EXPERIENCE :
EX1: Experience providing financial support services such as tracking expenditures and budgets; providing variance data; verifying and coding financial transactions; entering financial data; providing accounts payable services; and managing purchases and materials.
EX2: Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, or equivalent software(s).
If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)
ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience with Financial systems such as SAP/STAR and Business Intelligence BI.
AEX2: Experience using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level including the creation and manipulation of pivot tables for analysis.
