Job Description: The positions available are mainly in the areas of program management and administrative support. Service Canada Initiative (part of Human Resources and Social Development Canada [HRSDC]) is dedicated to better serving Canadians. HRSDC's goal is to provide Canadians with one-stop, easy-to-access, personalized service, whether in person, by telephone or online, on a growing number of Government of Canada programs and services. Through the Service Canada network (including in-person offices, outreach services, 1 800 O Canada, and Government of Canada Website), Canadians can receive the help they need when they want, where they want and how they want. Together with our partners in other federal departments and other levels of government, we are exploring innovative and efficient ways to serve Canadians better.

Work location:

Students have the opportunity of working in an office at the national or regional level or one of the local Service Canada Centres.

Hourly rates of pay: To be determined based on Treasury Board Secretariat student rates of pay.

Duration of employment: Full time or part time employment opportunities are available throughout the year, but full-time employment is usually offered during the summer months of May to August.
