Education

Degree from a recognized university in a field related to the duties of the position.

Experience

Experience in the development and management of an online educational portal presenting products and services aimed at professional audiences.
Experience in using social media tools (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) and in the development and delivery of educational digital content.
Experience in leading a project team, and supervising the work of a project officer.
Experience in delivering live training sessions to an audience, on a given subject.
Experience in concept development and managing of projects, developing mitigation strategies, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management.

Knowledge

Knowledge of museum practices related to the Canadian museum community, and national, provincial, and territorial heritage organizations.
Knowledge of the Canadian public education system, and of provincial curriculum course content.
Knowledge of trends in teaching methods, online learning techniques, and relevant emerging technologies.

Abilities and Skills

Ability to spearhead national e-learning collaborative initiatives involving multiple partners (in regards to the educational field, using e-learning heritage content).
Ability to provide insights into emerging online trends, relevant to reaching and retaining specific audiences.
Ability to communicate effectively orally
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
